My name is Baruc, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and a Master’s degree in Population and Development. I am a researcher and data journalist specializing in spatial analysis, econometrics, and the investigation of human rights and security issues.
My core strengths combine GIS and spatial econometrics with audiovisual storytelling and computational analysis. I work fluently with Python and GeoPandas for geospatial programming, statistical modeling, and interactive dashboard development. At the same time, I specialize in the production of animated cartographies in After Effects and the creation of audiovisual narratives in Premiere Pro, which allows me to translate complex spatial data into compelling public evidence.
In this portfolio, I present six selected projects that best summarize my experience across investigative mapping, interactive spatial tools, and field reporting.
While some of the narrative outcomes of these projects are in Spanish, this does not represent a limitation for me. I am fully able to conduct research, analysis, and production in English, both in academic and audiovisual contexts.
